PROVENANCE: This font, classed as an Antique is uniquely different with its serif form. The ‘Mansard’ serif, was derived from and named after, a French seventeenth-century roof construction by architect Francois Mansart. De Little cut a Mansard – “Keystone No. 70” in 1894, the word Keystone deriving from the centre stone of an arch, resembling the shape of the serifs.
INCLUDED: 52 individual high-resolution JPG images, featuring two distinct variations of each letter of the alphabet. The first presents a fuller, densely inked print, while the second features a lighter press with uneven pressure, creating a more distressed and characterful appearance. Find out more
