PROVENANCE: In 1845, Figgins cut an ornamental metal type of engraved tree logs. Trunk and branches were cut and contoured into letter shapes. ‘Rustic’ became a name most suitable for type of this nature. Harrild and Sons offered in wood version around 1880 with the same name. To distinguish this font from other ‘Rustic’ fonts, we’ve introduced an accompanying name of ‘Botanical’
