PROVENANCE: The Grotesque and Sans Serif forms are, probably, the largest and most extensive group within the classification of wood type. They can become condensed or elongated. Variation in design is evident across most of the manufacturers. Introduced in 1892, ‘Sans Condensed (Series 46)’ by Robert DeLittle of York, England was paired for two-colour working with ‘Sans Condensed (Series 268)’ to form this Chromatic two part font creating three printing possibilities.
INCLUDED: 52 (x2) individual high-resolution JPG images, featuring two distinct variations of each letter of the alphabet. The first presents a fuller, densely inked print, while the second features a lighter press with uneven pressure, creating a more distressed and characterful appearance. Find out more
